one of the issues of working with marker pens

That is all.

I've recently started using markers and even on very thick paper the ink bleeds through. My plan is to only use markers on every other double page spread. On the pages with the bleed-through I'm either doodling patterns with a multiliner or I might try collage or acrylic paint, not sure yet.

I sympathize with you. I thought the pack of gray toned Prismacolor markers I got (marked down to $5) was a deal, until I saw them run through the page of the sketchbook I tested them on.

Cathryn, it's true. They seem to bleed through everything. I just love them though.

Pilgrim, that's another thing I love about them; compared to a lot of illustration pens they are so cheap!

Thanks for stopping by, guys.

Hey! I had the same problem. Now I slip a piece of waxed paper between pages. Problem solved.

Hope this is helpful.
